Aedar'yadar is calm and collected at all times, but his age and experience give him the confidence to defend his position. Pious enough to never see himself as superior, Aedar'yadar uses cool logic and rational arguments to solidify his position, and while the Hronori do possess emotions, as an elder Aedar'yadar sees it as his duty to set his feelings aside in order to mentor others. Though his people are pacifists, Aedar'yadar as an ordained minister is permitted to defend the rights of his people. He believes that science and religion are intertwined and it is the duty of all sentient races to work to evolve technologically and spiritually to better understand the universe.
The Hronori:
The Hronori of Openior II are the ancestors of a lemur-like marsupial known as Hronothryx A. Today their closest relative is Hronothryx B, a species on a slighty higher evolutionary level than the Neanderthals of Earth. For several centuries, the Hronori took advantage of the species' learning abilities and meager sentience by encorporating them into society as a servant caste. In 2151, prior to contact with the other life, a political activist named Kuyamau began speaking out against the oppresion of the small creatures. His argument was largely based on the close relation between the species, and that if enslavment of Hronori was illegal, this mode of servitude should be as well. Many did not take creedence to his protests, including the Autarch of his native nation. Kuyamau died without seeing the freedom of Hronothryx B, but after the Autarch decided to oppose him, many began to speak out. By 2180 Autarch Hyael'aeih had been ruling for 150 years. His evangelical, narrow rule had become greatly opposed by many in society, and when he encouraged the continued servitude of Hronothryx B, many began to fight simply to spite him. By 2184, Hyael'aeih was overthrown and a new government was instated. Though Hronothryx B was freed, many still thought poorly of the creatures running all over Hronori communities. After centuries of being bred into civilized society, Hronothryx B became dependent on their former masters. Racial violence against the defensless creatures was rampant for two decades until Chancellor Tiiquinei, second leader of the New Order realized what was happening with mass animal cruelty and intolerance. She began speaking out to calm the those who claimed that Hronothryx B was a pestulant vermin that plagued their society. Many of the religious sects that had once dominated began doubling as care centers for wandering Hronothryx B as a ploy to regain favor and appear humble. Though their goals were unpure, eventually they ended up helping to ease the blending of the two species in one society. Within the last few centuries, the rights of Hronothryx B have been reformed, and it is now illegal to enslave, discriminate, or otherwise abuse the Hronori's distant cousins. Due to the drastic diffenece between the two species, there was great question as to whether Openior II would be able to join the Federation. The species were not united, however this was as result of the imple fact that Hronothryx B had no concept of the Federation, or governed society. In the end, the Federation Council decided that determining the sentience of the marsupials would determine the fate of Openior II. Though many tests were put to a group of Hronothryx B, it was decided that their capacity to learn was exponential, however, they were not capable of sentient thought. Openior II was incorporated into the Federation in 2326, although the Hronori were somewhat begrudged by the Council's ruling on Hronothryx B. In the end, their defense of the creatures gave them a greater appreciation for their distant cousins and almost all segregation came to a close. Today, Hronothryx B are not employed, nor do they serve in any capacity as members of Hronori society, but are welcome to come and go as they please. Similar to the cattle of Hindu society among humans. The Openior System is located in the Alpha Trianguli Sector Block about 4.7 LY to the galactic southwest of Minos Korva System, ust outside of the Betreka Nebula.
Biography:
Early Life and Pre-Starfleet Career
2299-2345
Born 2299 on Openior II to Rakotgar and Yemorgon. Rakotgar was a lifelong farmer of simple needs who married Yemorgon, a silk worker and client who continued to work her trade as a clothing maker on the farm. Aedar'yadar was the only child born to them and he spent his first 16 years tending the land with his father. Eventually he grew tired of the solitary life and left the farm behind, along with an estranged father.
Aedar'yadar spent the next four years traveling Openior II learning about his people and earning a living here and there with his talent for crafting and labor. At the interstelar port city of Migreps, Aedar'yadar met a Benzite cargo captain named Poldor, who found the young man's cheap skills to be perfect in the maintenance of his vessel, the Ulogn. Poldor recruited Aedar'yadar as an engineer and led him across the Alpaha Quadrant for the next few years. As a private trader's engineer, Aedar'yadar had very few personal dealings with the Federation but came into contact with many other species including the Cardassians, Ferengi, Korvalans, and many others. This was his first experience off world and opened Aedar'yadar to the vast potential of the world beyond his own culture. This period in his life was brief however and not more than a preliminary tour of the galaxt for what was to come. After several years Captain Poldor had earned enough to retire and he sold the Ulogn and returned to Benzar, but Aedar'yadar was not yet ready to return home.
Now 23, Aedar'yadar applied to and entered the Lakarian City Uinversity of Engineering on Cardassia Prime, where he studied for five years. Though the Cardassians had the potential for great culture, knowledge, and art, the totalitarian society was not to his liking, and while he made a handful of friends, most of the race gave him spite for being a non-Cardassian. Needing greatly to return to th pacifist, tranquil nature of his iwn people, Aedar'yadar returned home to Openior II.
With the rampant, unchecked emotions of the Cardassians, Aedar'yadar first returned home to his roots but found his father still begruged and against refused to take him in. Now almost thirty, and with nowhere else to go, Aedar'yadar found solace at the Phlemora Monastery to the North. There he studied philosophy, and temperment through the martial art form of Hrii don'Quo--being too young to learn how to properly meditate--all while helping to maintain the monastery for the monks. For his age and recent arrival Aedar'yadar remained a novice practictioner and apprentice in the theosophy of don'Quo. After more than a year, Aedar'yadar now purified and tempered, returned to the farm but was again turned away.
In 2330, Aedar'yadar began his own business as an independent contractor. He flourished and became wealthy after patenting a computer program designed to more effectively interface with the operator. This along with other similar programs were the forerunners to true computer voice interfaces. During this time he met a woman named Seli who also possessed an adept knowledge of engineering. The two began courting and in time he made her a partner in his company as a prelude to marriage. It was not long however before their managing styles clashed and the company was dissolved. The separation was a bitter one and afterward, Aedar'yadar returned to the Phlemora Monastery. His second stay was not as long, but he again found the peace enough to go back out into the galaxy. From there Aedar'yadar went with to Rigel X with an old friend from the Ulogn, where they ran a lucrative restaurant and bar. Aedar'yadar greatly enjoyed the atmosphere of so many cultures and took pride in his ability as a listener of stories and counsel to strangers.
Seven years after departing from Seli, Aedar'yadar met a young Hronori woman who stopped for a meal at his establishment while on a pilgrimage to the Sustir System. They spoke for a good portion of the night and she was on her way the following morning. A year later he met her again, and was honored to hear that she had intentionally come to visit him during another pilgrimage. Aedar'yadar decided to accompany her to the Sustir System where he too observed the annual Hronori holiday. As a direct result of this venture Aedar'yadar, now 43, decided it was time to return home for an extended stay. He went with Nesket to Openior where he met her parents and made a reinvested attempt to make peace with his father. Nesket went to the farm with him but only then learned that his mother, Yemorgon had died of an illness three years earlier. Rakotgar had since begun employing farmers but never remarried. This brought the father-son bitterness to a head when Aedar'yadar was enraged that his father had not notified him, but Nesket cooled the fire and helped them both to realize that the past must remain in the past, and the time for forgiveness had come. The visit finally tore down the barriers between Aedar'yadar and Rakotgar and welcomed Nesket into the family. A year later the two were bonded and lived on the farm with Rakotgar.
2345-2382
For the next two years Aedar'yadar focused only on family. He and Nesket began trying to get preganant but to no avail. The reason for this was tragically discovered when Nesket diedin 2347 of a terminal disease that afflicted women of the region, that was known to lay dormant, but could eventually cause sterility and rapid decay of the circulatory system. Though Rakotgar's relationship and presence were of great help, Aedar'yadar was too pain-stricken to remain, and for a third time, he retreated to Phlemora. There he was counseled by the monks, and spent the next four years fasting, meditating, training, and learning. The monks recognized and tod him that each of his visits had occured in the wake of some family dilemma and it was suggested that Aedar'yadar choose a life where he would be more involved in the needs of the many, and less so in the emotions of the few. Aedar'yadar, now 52 and old enough to be ordained, became a minister and emerged from the jungle to counsel others. He honed his skills as a counselour and listener, and traveled the planet studying and caring for the nomadic Hronothryx B, also mentoring those wherever he was needed.
In 2364, Aedar'yadar left Openior II again and created another engineering company called Amnesty Interstellar Engineering and Contruction Company which worked throughout the galaxy. Small and modest though it was, his skills, willingness to travel, and the Hronori work ethic kept his team busy and working for any number of governments from the Federation, to the Klingon Empire and Tholian Assembly, and dozens of smaller alliances in between. Work now consumed much of his 2360s for Aedar'yadar, and after a while his wares drew the attention of Starfleet. Aedar'yadar and his work teams began working alongside Starfleet on many occasions including the design of the next line of ships at Utopia Planetia and research into the damage to subspace caused by warp drives. Throughout his career Aedar'yadar continued to keep in touch with his father and more actively pursued his faith. In the early 70s Aedar'yadar chose to drop some of his contracts with the Federation and the Klingon Empire once they began warring with each other, and while the cease fire briefly reinvested his efforts, his company cut all dealings with both nations during the Dominion War. As a pacifists, the Hronori company was forbidden to work and build anythng that could be used to wage or be used for the war effort. As a minster Aedar'yadar did have the authority to defend his home, his people, and the Fedration by extention, he chose to be a good example for his workers and kept his personal ethics and business ethics separate. On an side note, Aedar'adar was also propositioned by the Dominion, but he refused them as well.
Though two of their largest clients were no longer an option, the company was still considered a success. Aedar'yadar returned to Openior and continued to manage his company from home. In 2375 he and his business spent much of their time working on a smaller scale. Aedar'yadar also spent much of his free time designing boats, starships, building, and machinery, selling his designs to others and keeping his own business focused on the actual construction effort. He was 76 when he built his first home on Openior (which was not uncommon consdering Hronori age almost twice as slowly as humans. At 76 Aedar'yadar's physical condition resembles that of a 42 year-old human). His home was only a kilometer from his father's farm, and the two visited frequently. This period only lasted two years before the dire need for engineers was felt all over the quadrant to deal with the fallout of the War. Aedar'yadar returned to Cardassia Prime where he learned his trade, and assisted in the reconstruction process. While there he made many contacts in the fledgling government and was reacquianted with many of his former colleagues. Aedar'yadar was introduced to many officials including Natima Lang, but he considered them beauracratic formalities and did not expect bonds to be forged. With work coming and going Aedar'yadar and his company spent almost a decade dealing almost exclusively in the reconstruction effort, and took advantage of his closeness to home as ogten as he could. This was perhaps the first time Aedar'yadar had successfully blended his interstellar life with his family ties and attachment to his home.
On more than one occasion Aedar'yadar had run-ins with strings of ex-military officials that would eventually converge to create the True Way. Most of these encounters were untoward largely as a result of the biogrty present in the growing, hardliner faction. Though the terrorist group was not yet realized, Aedar'yadar anticipated that these extremists would eventually make a move against the Detapa Council.
2382-2390
The 80s saw another big boon and heavy demand for Aedar'yadar's services. He spent a great deal of time working with the Cardassians but as business grew, he was able to take on more workers and bring aid to the Federation as well. In 2384 he reestablished ties with Starfleet and its shipyards began working on new lines of vessels. This period while rewarding was taxing. Constant work prevented him from returning home often and his distance from the tranquility of the monastery was at times, troublesome. Rakotgar also encouraged him to retire and remarry, but at 88, a minister, and business owner, Aedar'yadar had little need or desire to do so. This briefly strained the relationship as Rakotgar did not want to see his family die out. He never truly accepted his son's decision on the matter, but realized it was not worth starting another feud between them.
In 2385 Aedar'yadar left his staff in the Cardassian Union and joined his secondary team in the Federation. He began helping to install new sensor arrays on Starfleet vessels and his prowess in the field was strongly recognized. Later that year Rakotgar was hospitalized for an illness and Aedar'yadar--after placing his authority in the hands of the company board--returned to care for him over the next few months. Evidently the sickness, known as Hemisphoric Cyclothymia and similar to Vulcan Bendii Syndrome, was determined to be genetic, and while Aedar'yadar's tests came up negative, it was strongly recommended that he seek regular examinations.
The following year, Aedar'yadar took advantage of being at home and spends several weeks in meditation. Though he was greatly needed by Starfleet and the AIECC, he ignored them, taking time away for his father and himself. Upon returning to work he was met with a slight reproach from the board, but the news of a potential supernova in the Hobus system took presidence. Aedar'yadar pooled the bulk of his workers in the Federation to help in the construction of an experiemental vessel referred to as the Jellyfish. While Aedar'yadar expressed misgivings about the dangers of Red Matter, he acknowledged that it was the only option on the table, and that his leave had prevented him from developing alternatives. They continued the work well into 2387 until the construction of the ship was fully completed. Aedar'yadar then traveled back to Openior to watch over his father as the disease weakened him. While on the farm, the Hobus Star exploded and destroyed Romulus. Aedar'yadar immediately returned to work and sent all of his newest work teams and resources into Romulan space, but with little to no government, aggresive military forces, chaotic colony worlds, and the Starfleet regulation of the Neutral Zone, none of them were able to maake progress of any kind.
From there Aedar'yadar kept working with the Federation and the Cardassian Union. He himself returned to Cardassia and oversaw all operations there. Though the Union made great strides, it had only reclaimed that which it had lost a decade ago. Without a military and still lacking in resources, Aedar'yadar allowed his workers to be distributed on an as-needed basis to work for the Cardassian government. Though this largely worked to everyone's benefit, it was always Aedar'yadar and his partners who negotiated deals. This caused a number of disagreements with many Cardassian corporations who tried to hire Hronori engineers for weapons construction. Aedar'yadar did what he could to notify the proper authorities and his reputation as a businessman with a conscience grew.
Though the shut down of these corpporations was considered a success, many of the Cardassians who went free later became sympathizers and recruits of the True Way.
In2389, Gul Madred obtained a number of planets with the intent of mining them for resources, and asked for ais from the AIECC Recalling Madred's reputation as a hardliner and extremist, Aedar'yadar, now 90, refused the proposition. Madred persisted over the next several months with occasional reassurance that his work was in no way affilated with the military, and that his aims were purely for the benefit of the Union. After three months of pressuring and an additional two months of negotiating, a contract was signed between Madred and the AIECC
2390-2397
This partnership lasted for several years in which time Gul Madred won over the respect anf friendship of Aedar'yadar and the other partners. The work quickly became a meager aspect of AIECC's prospects at which point Aedar'yadar went on to oversee the Cardassian projects as a whole. Initially he had been reticent to trust the Gul, but after returning to Septimus in 2390 to see the progress being made, his outlook on the man sarted to change. He developed a close professional friendship with Madred, and the two were known to share a botle of kanar during Aedar'yadar's regular inspections.
In 2391, Aedar'yadar donated a substantial amount of AIECC's wealth to the ministers of Openior II to build shelters for Hronothryx B. A short period of tension occured in the wake of this when Rakotgar criticized Aedar'yadar for not sending funds to his own father. Aedar'yadar questioned the need and approproately so as health care on Openior was free and Rakotgar had always been happy to live a simple life. Rakotgar persisted in his claims to need money in order to keep his quality of life, and Aedar'yadar eventually gave in handing over a percentage of his own earnings. This incident gae Aedar'yadar new cause for concern over his father's mental status.
This concern became more legitimate in the years that followed as Rakotgar's mental capacity was noticably dwindling as a result of his H.C. His father's mind eventually became so feable that he could not take care of himself, so with great effort and shame, Aedar'yadar sent him to a community living center in the nearest city. He continued to pay workers to tend the farm, but to his dismay the place he had once called home had shrunk to half its size as Rakotgar's deteriorating state threatened his land. Aedar'yadar did his best to right everything with the neighboring farmers and get back as much of the land as he could with what was left of his personal income. By this time, Aedar'yadar's frequent visits began to hamper his own ability to run the company and eventually his troubles came to the attention of Gul Madred.
With his rapidly growing fortune, Madred offered to send Rakotgar to Vulcan for an experiemental treatment. Aedar'yadar refused but the Gul made arrangements all the same and sent a ship to pick up Rakotgar and take him to Vulcan before Aedar'yadar found out his father was taken from Openior. Though he initially succombed to blind anger for his modesty, Aedar'yadar eventually came to see Madred for his generosity, and thanked him by putting the Septimus Mining Operation at the top of AIECC's priorities, ensuring that workers would always be available when needed. The partners were immediately concerned that Aedar'yadar's relationship with Madred and that his executive decision were too personal. Aedar'yadar returned that Madred's operation only took up a small percentage of their resources, and that the work done was of great importance to the development of the Cardassian Union. He also claimed that the Gul's new found interest in philanthropy should be encouraged, and this was perhaps the argument that swayed the board and partners.
At this point Aedar'yadar and the rest of AIECC were unaware tha Madred was holding the bulk of the mining operation's resources for himself.
Over the next several months Rakotgar received regular treatments while recovering on Vulcan. Aedar'yadar continued to pay workers on the farm with his personal fortune which had been dwindling for the last several years despite the company's prosperity. There were some offers to buy the land but Aedar'yadar remained adamant that the land was not his to sell.
It was 2395 when Rakotgar returned to his home. Due to his years of coming anf going intermitently, Aedar'yadar was forbad from taking another leave of absence. As AIECC's owner and senior partner Aedar'yadar admitted that he could not walk away from the dozens of contracts that he negotiated himself. He was therefore not able to help his father settle in to the farm which he had not lived on for four years. This incident as a whole reminded Aedar'yadar of his time at the monastery when it was advised that he step back from personal relationships and try to gain perspective on the life he had created for himself. As a result, he began focusing more on work and withdrew slightly from his father, and Gul Madred whose friendship he had allowed to affect his management. From that point on, he only visited his father once a year, communicating regularly through subspace radio, and he began turning down Madred during each invitation to bottle of kanar.
In 2397 Aedar'yadar attended an engineering symposium on Risa where he was reunited with Seli, his first financee. Aedar'yadar now 98 and her 92, the two had forgiven each other and the meeting was amiable. Seli had married and now built starships for the Niberite Alliance. She even apologized for inadvertently sabotaging his first company, having now seen the success he could achieve when she "wasn't working to subvert him." They parted ways peacefully at the close of the event. Without wishing to be back in the past Aedar'yadar left the reunion missing his first company, with its meager work staff and limited responsibilities. AIECC's vast holdings and contracts alone had begun to wear his resolve to say nothing of the added stress of Rakotgar's illness and the chaos he felt while away from the monastery. Though he never considered retiring, it was the first time Aedar'yadar began to look back on his life in a truly meaningful way, without the self-analysis on his ministerial duties, or the reflection at Phlemora. From this point on, Aedar'yadar began actively planning for the rest of his life, and preparing to settle in for the long haul. He returned to Cardassia with a reinvested resolve to work and run his business and do his best to be a dutiful son, friend, and employer.
2397-2406
In 2398 a bomb exploded in Lethiiva City on Openior II. The target had been the prestigious Tembai Monastery, one of the oldest and most sacred temples that used to house the Autarch of the old days. Aedar'yadar and the rest of AIECC observed a period of mourning wheerein he was asked to return and confer with his fellow clergymen. As this was the first act of terorism since the Revolution, law officers swarmed into the city, and after 36 hours, the culprit was apprehended and incarcerated pending trail.
It was soon discovered that the attack was a protest against the steadily growing power of the the Hronori Ministry. Fearing th reinstatement of an Autarch, the terrorist decided to demoralize the religious movement. Local authorities conducted an investigation with the aid of Starfleet and learned that the ore use din the bomb had originiated on Septimus. Although Madred denied any knowledge of this or any related transaction, all authorities involved began focusing in on the mining operation.
Aedar'yadar and AIECC rapidly came under investigation as the largest contributing organization to Madred's facilities. The entire company fell under critical review and was sut down for the next three years. During this time, the partners turned on Aedar'yadar who had insisted on remaining in business with Madred. Although AIECC had no knowledge prior to the bombing or Madred's business deals, their responsibility for working alongside the Cardassians reflected poorly. At a board meeting that was called to order a month after the bombing, Aedar'yadar voluntarily stepped down as AIECC owner and CEO. Theough he and the company remained under investigation until 2400, he was allowed to retire to the Phlemora Monastery and only had dealings with the outseide world when questioned by Starfleet and the Hronori governmet. In 2400 the entire company was vindicated and resumed operating in the Alpha Quadrant, however AIECC lost many of its clients in the wake of rumor and supposition. Furthermore, Starfleet reticently ruled that Madred's mining operation was not liable for what was done with the ore once it left Septimus space. Cardassian Intelligence was not so easily swayed and eventually their covert investigation of the Lethiiva City bombing and Madred's involvement led to the discovery that he was in possession of a number of warships and had the man power to amass his own army.
After stepping down in 2398, Aedar'yadar attoned for his "sins against pacifism" at Phlemora and spent his time in deep meditation. Though many who were aware of his deeds had alienated him, the monks at Phlemora were accepting of him, if only after witnessing his feelings of guilt and sincerity toward reaching a reconciliation. Rakotgar who buy this time had fully regained his mental faculties--although he still suffered from HC--made numerous visits to the Monastery, but honored his son's desire to remain in isolation and made little effort to disturb him.
After several years Aedar'yadar began to feel a reclamation and chose to take the Rite of Fsughnogh to become a monk and remain permanently at the Monastery. The monks accepted, but charged him with a final task before taking his vows. He was assigned to train and counsel a young man who had been convicted of murder. The man wanted to become a minister himself, but was required to be live as an apprentice before he could be truly forgiven by the state. Aedar'yadar initially refused to even associate with the man or the outside society by extention, the monks reminded him that becoming a monk did not give him liscence to to hide from the world as he had done in the past. Now 106, Aedar'yadar agreed and spent the next two years training the youth. Through it, he learned to forgive the man, the terrorist, and himself. He realized that his service to his people was not yet finished, and in 2406, he enlisted in Starfleet.

Starfleet Career
2409 graduate of Starfleet Academy.
Previous career as an independent contractor. Contributions to the Federation include work on the Jellyfish Project and research into the spacial damage created by Starfleet warp fields. Aedar'yadar is also known to have worked for the Klingon Empire during peace time, making him an asset to the S.C.E. Although Aedar'yadar has worked under the Empire on several projects since the start of the Long War, the Empire's recent research into the Doomsday Weapon, and heavy arms has driven him to ally exclusively with the Federation.
Temporary field commission on board U.S.S. Evangeline, a Shi'Kahr class cruiser, stationed in Earth Defense Fleet in the Sol system.

"To Any Lengths"
In 2411, Aedar'yadar was contacted by Lieutenant Rico, a close friend from the Academy. Rico was serving on the U.S.S. Fairchild, one of three ships infected by psychotropic seed pods from a planet in the Bomari System. Rico on behalf of his Captain asked Aedar'yadar to aid them and the crews of the Angel and the Micarra in exposing the invasion conspiracy they had been brought to believe was occurring, as a result of the effects of the seed pods. The crews and vessels quickly disappeared afterword, in preparation to "save" the Federation from the alien invaders. The Evangeline investigated the Bomari system and not only discovered the seed pods, but took part in the task force that went to recover the crews. During this time the Angel was rescued, but the Micarra, as a result of the crew's deteriorating state was lost. The Fairchild was never heard from again. On Stardate 88520.56 the search was officially called off. The Evangeline was the last ship to return to Earth. Aedar'yadar lodged a protest against the decision, but the chances of finding the Fairchild was too slim for Starfleet to continue devoting resources to the search.

"Operation: Seiyya"
Some months later, Aedar'yadar officiated in a Hronori wedding in the Sustir System. It was then that the sun underwent a massive change in size and radiation outage. The event destroyed two freighters in the system and left the only M class planet scorched and uninhabitable. It was later discovered that the cause of explosion was a close proximity detonation of a warhead containing ferro-magnetic composites that created a chemical reaction and built high concentrations of transition metals for the star to feed on. Starfleet projected that the sun would remain engorged for the next five to seven years as the elements were broken down, and fifteen years for the star to return to normal. While analyzing the data at Starbase 24, a Starfleet vessel detected a Bird of Prey not far from the system. Aedar'yadar ordered the Evangeline back to Sustir where they battled and destroyed the warship but not before transporting the crew. While initially suspecting the Klingons for causing the Sustir Event, Captain Ventris claimed that he too was investigating the event.
After Aedar'yadar promised Ventris (with the permission of Admiral Quinn) that he would be allowed to return to the Empire and not handed over to the Federation in disgrace, Ventris told Starfleet that believed this incident was related to a battle involving his brother six years earlier. According to Ventris, his brother was overseeing a mining operation of ferro-magnetic materials when a Romulan ship decloaked and decimated his task force. The materials were stolen and Ventris spent the next six years searching for the Romulans that assaulted his younger sibling. With this new information confirmed, the Evangeline began searching for indications of Romulan involvement.
Now suspecting Romulans, the Evangeline was able to detect a quantum singularity that powered an Empire ship. Unfortunately the Warbird greatly outclassed the Evangeline and sent hundreds of Romulan soldiers to take over the ship. Commander Chaviek demanded that Aedar'yadar beam over for questioning. During the interrogation Aedar'yadar realized Chaviek wanted the security codes for the Earth Defense System so he could deploy the warhead into the sun's corona, devastating the entire solar system. According to Chaviek, if the Romulan people were to be deprived of a homeworld so would the Federation and Klingon Empire. With his official rank of Lieutenant however, Aedar'yadar was unqualified to possess that information. Disgusted, Chaviek took the I.R.W. Aelhimauthweiah in search of another Starfleet vessel to capture and left his troops on the Evangeline to prevent the crew from reclaiming control of the ship. It was agreed that Evangeline, as the ship in charge of the Sustir Investigation, could only be destroyed after the assault on Earth to prevent suspicion of an attack. This proved to be Chaviek's folly as Captain Ventris's men were able to break free and help retake the ship. Logs indicate that the siege was over once the bridge was retaken.
Things became complicated however with Aedar'yadar still captured, and the crew in no condition to fight hundreds of Romulan soldiers. Mirra, the Andorian tactical officer decided the only way to secure the ship was to beam the armed troops into space. She escorted the prisoners to the brig then immediately reliquished command to Science Officer Tirayz.
With the ship retaken, Tirayz contacted Starfleet and notified them of the situation and a small task force was sent to intercept the Aelhimauthweiah three lightyears from Andoria. Aedar'yadar was rescued by a Starfleet Special Forces Team and though the task force attempted to capture the warbird, Chaviek ordered a self destruct sequence. The warheads fortunately were destroyed in the explosion however the shockwave did damage a number of ships.

Though the entire crew was due for shore leave and the Evangeline was ready for repairs, Captain Ventris reminded Admiral Quinn of the agreement signed at the beginning of the affair in which it was determined that Ventris would be returned to the Empire by the Evangeline. Admiral Quinn protested, but eventually gave in to the preasessed terms. A number of Romulan prisoners who's been captured, were trasferred to vessels bound for Earth, but Chulvak, the Romulan Subcommander and three of his centurions were too critical to be moved at the time. With Aedar'yadar still incapacitated, Commander Dillenger, XO of the U.S.S. Thomlinson was charged with command of the vessel. With this new mission, the after action report for the incident with the Romulans was postponed til their return. Mirra was allowed to return to duty until proper disiplinary action could be taken, again after their return to Earth. The Evangeline left immediately for the Neutral Zone and rondezvous with a Klingon battlecruiser. On the way however, the vessel was hailed by a voice from the Gateway System. The voice requested the vessel and crew by name, but Dillenger ordered the helm to continue on course as the Gateway System was off limits by order of Starfleet Command. The power of the mysterious planet was insurmountable it seemed when a beam of chronitons was focused on the vessels hull and continued to build until Evangeline was temporally displaced. After some intense scans, the crew realized it had been transported six years into the future, half way through the year 2417.

"Echelons of Evil"
In the interest of getting answers, Commander Dillenger decided to go to the Gateway System and confer with the Guardian of Forever. Once he and his team beamed down, it was learned that the Iconians had implimented a number of successful schemes to destabilize the entire galaxy, including the reintroduction of the Undine (Species 8472), the war between the Federation and Klingon Empire, and the fall of the Romulan Empire. According to the Guardian, the Iconians had conquered much of the quadrant and had only been slowed due to the loss or destruction of some of their gateways. It was then learned that the Evangeline had been summoned because of the presence of Starfleet, Romulan, and Klingon officials onboard, and that they could return and attempt to prevent the invasion in an unbiased capacity that would help all nations. Not wanting to alter the timeline, Dillenger initially chose to stay in the near future, but after several months seeing the path of destruction left by the Demons of Air and Darkness, it was decided that the Guardian was right to show them this possible future. The Evangeline returned to the Guardian in order to return to 2411 but was intercepted by several Iconian ships. To prevent the Evangeline's escape they bombarded the site, killing Commander Dillenger and supposedly the Guardian of Forever. Evangeline, in a last attempt to escape, hid from the enemy vessels until Tirayz was able to propperly plot a slingshot manuever around the nearest sun. They returned to 2411 several hours late to find a Klingon battleship before them and demanding the return of Ventris.
To prevent needless bloodshed, Ventris announced that he would return to Qo'noS and attempt to explain the situation to the High Council. Evangeline meanwhile, returned to be briefed. Immediately, it was evident that Starfleet brass was reticent to believe the crew and their accounts, but after using sensor log information backed by the current unfolding of events, Aedar'yadar managed to convince Admiral Quinn and members of Starfleet Temporal Investigation to give creedence to the possibility of Iconian Invasion. Though this alone seemed like a success, Aedar'yadar pushed to remain in command of the Evangeline as his age and experience earned him the right to keep his field commission. This alone was difficult for the Admiral to swallow, but the request to keep the prisoner Chulvak as a source of information was too much. Quinn, though generous and faithful was not willing to be pushed so far based soley on faith. The notion of giving a Lieutenant the autonomy to investigate the Romulan Neutral Zone with unverified evidence of an invasion, and the possession of a strategically important prisoner was unheard of. Aedar'yadar returned stating that the mission would be more than acceptable if any conventional captain were in command and once again reminded Quinn of the contributions he'd made to the federation over the last two centuries, finally convincing him to approve the mission. Quinn's only condition was to hand pick Aedar'yadar's Executive Officer. He finally decided on Commander Tara Sonju, a Betazoid, and trusted attache to Admiral Quinn. With the ship fully manned and repairs made, the Evangeline set course for Iconia, in the Romulan Neutral Zone.

For the next two months the Evangeline patroled Romulan space within the Khazan Region, however the crew found no evidence to reinforce the cause of their mission. With only a month left before they were to be recalled so a more experienced crew could take the reins, Aedar'yadar gave the order to head deeper into Romulan territory. Though the Evangeline's presence was permitted by the Romulans who allowed Starfleet to provide aid, they were confronted numerous times and turned away from "contested areas." They did however reunited with Ventris, who was found piloting an otherwise derelict cruiser. Ventris boarded the Evangeline and confessed that the High Council had denied his request to search out the Iconians. Knowing what was at stake, Ventris killed his crew and took his ship into Romulan space. The battle damage rought on the vessel from KDF ship hunting him down had greatly damaged his ship's ability to perform, and Ventris abandoned it to join the crew of the Evangeline. Though he wholly admitted to the pain and disgrace of being labeled a traitor and stripped of his honor, Ventris pledged that his loyalty was unflinching and that his honor was insubstantial next to the survival of the Empire. Aedar'yadar having spent months with Ventris in the near future granted him asylum unofficially and kept the Klingon's presence a secret. Commander Sonju protested at length but ultimately did nothing to remove Ventris or report the incident to Starfleet.
"Flight of the Kitty Hawk"
The mission continued from there uneventfully with the Evangeline occasionally providing aid to Romulan colonies and assisting in search and rescue operations, the greatest of which having prevented a new war from breaking out between the Star Empire and the Klingons. Several days earlier, the U.S.S. Kitty Hawk had disappeared over a Romulan colony on Gedoru Cor and its status was a mystery. Upon arriving to investigate, the Evangeline was engaged by several Orion vessels who turned out to be responsible for the disappearance of the Federation starship. After aprehending the Matron, a woman named Eolana, it was learned that the Orions were unwilling vassals to a Klingon general named Ulnar who had recently axquired a weapon of devastating power. After helping the Orions escape and go underground, the Evangeline was ordered by Admiral Cardazo to continue the search for the Kitty Hawk while continuing to investigate the rumors of this new weapon.
Upon returning to Gedoru Cor, Aedar'yadar led an away team to the surface an conducted an investigation as to what happened, coordinating their efforts with the Romulans. It was ultimately believed that the now absent population had been transported to the Kitty Hawk along with a prestigious Federation delegate known as Tal'raen. From this point it was determined that locating the ship was paramount, but the team's efforts were hindered when General Ulnar's forces beamed down and attacked. The attack turned out to be a fortuitous one when it led Aedar'yadar's team to a hidden holodeck beneath the colony. There they not only found Eolana who had gone into hiding, but a long thought dead member of the Romulan Senate. The Senator had also gone into hiding since the destruction of the Hobus Star and had continued to try and restle support away from the Empress. With the site compromised however, and General Ulnar drawing nearer, it was decided that the refugees needed to return to the Evangeline for the time being. For the next several hours, the team held out in the holodeck against the klingons until the U.S.S. Kitty Hawk entered orbit and led them away. Contact was made briefly but with the klingons in pursuit the vessel was forced to disappear a second time.
After the atack on Gedoru Cor, General Ulnar's fleet vanished along with the'r weapon which was determined to involve slipstream technology to create a sigularity tha radiated immeasurable power. As the confusion between the factions mounted, the Evangeline was ordered to track down the Kitty Hawk, thenrendezvous with Admiral Cardazo's fleet. They were intercepted en route however by Fleet Admiral Dalunru who commanded Aedar'yadar to hand over the romulan Senator.with no prior warning and strange behavior from the Admiral, Aedar'yadar chose to disobey orders and fled from Dalunru's flagship. After using a network of shuttles relaying a signal, the Evangeline was able to track down the missing starfleet vessel along with Tal'raen, and the Romulan colonists. Some of the plot was revealed when the ship's captain told them the Dalunru was working alongside Ulnar and that the weapon threatening the entire rgion was the product of federation science, handed over to Ulnar by the Admiral. With this information in hand the Evangeline went to join the task force (reinforced with Eolana's troops) in the _______ Nebula where they engaged Ulnar's forces. The Kitty Hawk as an asset remained behind and continued to avoid enemy forces. In the nebula, they were reacquainted with Dalunru with the General. After disabling his ship, a strike force led by Aedar'yadar boarded the vessel and siezed control of the bridge where they discovered a conspiracy between Ulnar, Dalunru, and a Romulan scientist to alter the balance of ppower in the galaxy.Ulnar and the Romulan were killed in the proceeding battle, and Dalunru apprehended. Though Dalunru claimed he was working with the rogue forces to bring strength to the Federation, further examination of the Admiral found him to be mentally unstable. With the battle won, Ulnar's slipstream weapon was destroyed and Eolana along with her soldiers took command of the Klingon flagship. The Senator, though exposed went back into hiding where he was to continue working to fight Sela and Tal'raen returned to the Federation. With the Kitty Hawk recovered and the conspiracy exposed, the task force left Romulan space and the Evangeline resumed its mission. ______________________________________________________________________________________________
"The 2800"
New emergencies arose ofor the Federation in the month to come when a fleet of Dominion ships came through the wormhole and took control of Deep Space 9. The Federation, unprepared, was forced to surrender the station, and retreated to Bajor to plan a counter offensive. It was later determined that the Jem'hadar forces in control of the station were of the Dominion fleet that had disappeared in the wormhole in 2373. In an attempt to solve the conflict peacefully, Aedar'yadar was ordered into the Gamma Quandrant along with Commander Samuel Winters to locate and make conact with the Dominion native to that century. Contact was made quickly, but the price for which the Dominion was asking was high indeed. After conferring with the Vorta Eraun, it was agreed that he would accompany Aedar'yadar back to Bajor where he would meet with Starfleet brass to negotiate the release of the Female Changelling in exchange for the Dominion's aid in removing the wayward forces led by a Vorta named Loriss and the Jem'hadar first, Karu'kan. An accord was made and it was agreed that the Federation would return their prisoner to the Gamma Quadrant. At the request of Eraun, Aedar'yadar and the crew of the Evangeline accompanied him to a top secret holding facility where the Changeling was being held. Though the Founder was willing to honor the terms of her release, her freedom yielded little. Upon returning to DS9, Loriss immediately surrendered to the Founder, however, Karu'kar had come to believe that the Founders had abandoned him and hi forces and began prepping the station for battle. Though many lost their lives, Karu'kan was killed in the ensuing battle, after which the remaining Jem'hadar stood down. All remaining dominoin forces returned to the Gamma Quadrant in peace and the station was reclaimed.

In the early days of the crisis, the Evangeline was sent out to patrol neighboring system and get a feel for the situation intergalactically. During this time two major events occured.
While escorting Ambassador Surah back to Defera, Starfleet ordered the Evangeline to patrol the boarder of Breen space. At that time it was not known that the Dominion had arrived from the past prior to the alliance with the Confederacy. Therefore, it was expected that at some point one nation would attempt to contact the other. This fear was confirmed when the Evangeline met with a Deferi trader, who had found a small probe in the Kelvani Belt. A thorough diagnostic was performed and a message from the Breen to the Jem'hadar offering an alliance was discovered. This development left Aedar'yadar in a quandary. If he allowed the prbe to continue to prevent suspicion of Federation tampering, the Dominion would regain a powerful ally. If he destroyed the probe, the Breen would simply send anther after not hearing a response. In the end he found an opportunity wherein he ultimately decided not to contact Starfleet to allow them the pleasure of plausible deniability. He then decided to allow the probe to continue on its way, after altering the message to make it seem like the invitation was a rouse to lure the Doninion leaders into an ambush. The crew then covered their tracks and released the probe. Though the fate of the probe was never learned, it is likely that Aedar'yadar's decision sabotaged the potential for an alliance.
Several days later the Evangeline was in the Trivas System when it was hailed by the natives of Trivas III. Allegedly, an unknown virus was running rampant through the population resulting in deaths in the hundreds. After following proper quarentine proceedures, Aedar'yadar led a team down to investigate at a research center where the plague began. After only several hours the virus was identified as a genetically engineered pathogen designed by the Iconians. This was the first solid lead on the demons of Air and Darkness since the beginning of the mission. With the virus identified the U.S.S. Pastuer arrived to help treat the sick and prevent a global epidemic. Aedar'yadar requested that the Evangeline remain to conduct a full investigation but with the new Dominion threat, his request was denied. The Evangeline was recalled to Bajor but it was promised that the crew would be permitted to return after the current situation was resolved.

Though Aedar'yadar had received much recognition during the crisis, his career took a down turn when Ventris was discovered onboard. This fact was immediately reported to Admiral Quinn who had already been introduced to the Klingon refugee prior to his defection. Although Starfleet did recognize the value of a Klingon renegade hoping for asylum, Quinn condemned the irregualrity and break in protocal Aedar'yadar had made keeping the Klingon commander's presence a secret. Ventris was then taken to ESD for a proper debriefing upon which an asylum was granted. From there it was decided that he would be transferred to the U.S.S. Charles Gordon which was also investigating the Iconian influence in the galaxy. Aedar'yadar, now a Lieutenant Commander, had his field commission revoked and Commander Sonju was ordered to take command. Aedar'yadar was to serve as her exec until the Evangeline returned to Sierra 39.
In the mean time the Evangeline was tasked with helping to repare the Federation base and help recover lost ships. It was at this time that the wormhole opened and a small object came hurdling toward the ship. It was transported aboard and after running several scans it was determined to be a shard from an orb that had yet to be discovered. Further examination by Science Officer Tirayz and Aedar'yadar yielded interesting results. As he began scanning the object ships sensors detected a brief surge in neutrinos, and two individuals identical to Aedar'yadar appeared suddenly and vanished several seconds later. After consulting the resuts of the scans and Bajoran texts, it was believed that they had located a piece of the Orb of Possibilities which provided a short view into other parallel universes. The discovery was indeed groundbreaking, and Aedar'yadar suggested that the shard remain on board for further study, however Sonju, and the Bajorans objected. Ultimately the fate of the shard was to be returned to Bajor. The next day, Kai Kira arrived on the ship and oversaw the transfer to her planet. Though happy to see a new gift from the Prophets, she assured Aedar'yadar and Sonju that should they ever return and wish to study the artifact, they would be welcomed. ______________________________________________________________________________________________
"Evangeline Fallen"
With the Dominoin crisis taken care of Captain Sonju decided the time had come for her crew to take a well deserved vacation. Upon departing Deep Space 9 the Evangeline set course for Risa for ship wide shore leave. Aedar'yadar initially objected, wanting to get back to their mission, but a few hours of meditation and a couple drinks from the bars helped him to see the value of a respite. It was his first shore leave since joining Starfleet.
The shore leave was cut short after several days, when a trader contacted the Evangeline and told Captain Sonju of a situation on a Ferengi mining colony on Hana II. With no other ships in the area Evangeline was sent to investigate.
"A situation" was deemed to be an understatement when the crew arrived in the Hana System to find a Nausicaan warship in orbit of the colony. After speaking to the foreman who claimed that he had hired the mercinaries for extra protection, it was learned that the Nausicaans had seized power and begun running the facility while also making the Ferengi sick to prevent uprising. Sonju and Aedar'yadar then met with the Nausicaan leader to reach a peaceful parting of ways, but the mercinaries refused to budge. With a ship allied to the Klingon Empire in orbit, it was decided that it could not be allowed to remain. The Evangeline contacted Captain Fitzpatrick on the Charles Gordon to request for help in driving out the enemy, but with the vessel so far away, and the Nausicaans having intercepted the message, the fate of the crew seemed bleak. Against a Talon Class cruiser the Evangeline took heavy damage. Even with the weapon upgrades that had been installed during the conflict with Karu'kan, the damage that had been taken earlier and the sheer power of the warship left the small cruiser outmatched.
In the last moments of the battle, Captain Sonju was injured and lost conscousness, leaving Aedar'yadar to take command. With engines failing, shields weakening, and weapons offline, Aedar'yadar gave the order to abandon ship. Most of the crew was able to escape and hide in a nearby debris field while Aedar'yadar oversaw the evacuation. He and Lieutenant Tirayz were the last to leave. On their way to the escape pod, a bulkhead gave way and killed Tirayz. Aedar'yadar took the last pod for himself and launched just in time to see the Evangeline explode.
Eventually the Charles Gordon arrived to finish off the Nausicaans and pick up the Evangeline survivors. With the situation under control, the ship resumed course for Sierra 39. En route it was determined that some of the crew would be absorbed into the Gordon's. Aedar'yadar became Chief Engineer and Commander Sonju remained as an observer for Admiral Quinn. They were also reunited with Ventris and Subcommander Chul'vak who had been transferred some months earlier.
